Services For Unpaid Carers - What would help you in your caring role?
The Carers Act (Scotland) 2016 came into force on 1st April 2018. To support the implementation of the Act, funding has been made available for the next 5 years from the Scottish Government for carers and we need your help to tell us what services and support you need in your caring role – tell us how to spend the money!
There are two ways to let us know what you think.
The survey is the start of the consultation process which will help with the update of The Edinburgh Joint Carers Strategy and the development of future carer services that will meet your needs. It will help to identify some initial key themes we will explore in more depth at events that I would encourage you to attend if you can.
Please take ten minutes to complete the survey by going to this link: http://www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/carers2018
- On Tuesday 24th July there will be a further consultation for BOTH adult carers and young carers. This will be from 1pm-4pm at The Jack Kane Centre from 1pm -4pm. There is free parking and disabled access.
If you think you can attend please e-mail Kirsten.Adamson@edinburgh.gov.uk so we can organise tea and coffee or feel free to just turn up at 1pm.
