Home Visits

Home Visits are not always a good idea - we are able to offer much quicker and safer care at the Health Centre where we have access to all our equipment!

Instead of a home visit we can often make special arrangements to see people at the Health Centre where there are mobility issues or other concerns that make attending at short notice difficult.  Please speak to our reception team for help with this.

We do also appreciate that sometimes people are, for example, housebound or genuinely too ill to come the surgery.  If you think a home visit is needed please let the reception know.  The GP can only visit you at home if they think that your medical condition requires it and will also decide how urgently a visit is needed.

Doctor's bag Where possible please let us know about visits early in the day - this lets us plan our working day better.

Home visiting services are also supplied through the practice where appropriate through our Community Nursing, Midwifery and Health Visiting teams.
