Practice Management

The Practice Manager is involved in managing all of the business aspects of the Practice, such as making sure that the right systems are in place to be able to provide high quality patient care services, human resources, finance, patient safety, premises and equipment, and information technology.

The Practice Management team supports the GPs, Primary Care Nurses and other medical professionals in delivering Patient services and also helps to develop extended services to enhance patient care.

Our Patient Care Advisors provide an important link for patients with the Practice and are your initial contact point for general enquiries.

They will ask you some questions to ensure your call is directed to the right person for the right care to meet your health needs.

They can provide basic information on services and results and direct you to the right person depending on your health issue or query.

Patient Care Advisors make most of the patient appointments with the GPs and Nurses.

All staff are fully trained and are governed by strict confidentiality and data protection policies to ensure patient security, respect and dignity at all times.

They also perform other important tasks such as issuing repeat prescriptions and dealing with prescription enquiries, dealing with financial claims, dealing with patient records and carrying out searches and Practice audits.

Filing Clerk

Our filing clerk ensures all records are kept up to date and that all documentation we receive from secondary care of other professionals is filed appropriately on our systems and in your medical notes. The filing clerk is also responsible for photocopying and appropriately distributing requests for documentation and other administrative tasks.

Tricia Curle - Health Visitor Assistant (f)

Our Medical Secretaries provide a comprehensive medical secretarial and administrative service to medical staff and associated team.

They assist in the mentoring of new members of staff within the Team.

The Medical Secretaries support the process for all the acute and repeat prescription requests, patient recalls to specific or general clinics, letters inviting patients to annual or quarterly reviews and patients records, working in close cooperation with the Clinical staff and Patient Care Advisor staff.

They ensure all the details in your record are correct and that everything is coded correctly so the GPs can find out what they need to know quickly by referring to the on line information systems.
